Voraggo is a Bulgaria-based engineering company specialising in shallow geothermal and innovative heating and cooling systems. We design and deliver complete solutions - from initial assessment and system design, through drilling, installation, commissioning & maintenance, complemented by training & financing options. With every solution tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.

 

Founded as a 100% privately owned company in Sofia, Voraggo is led by an expert multidisciplinary team with 130+ years of combined international experience in energy exploration, development, subsurface analysis, system design and drilling. This strong technical foundation enables us to integrate geological insights with practical engineering, to ensure every geothermal system we deliver is reliable, efficient & correctly scaled for long-term performance.

Our focus spans all of Bulgaria, providing tailored geothermal solutions for family and multifamily residences, municipalities, offices, industrial facilities, educational institutions, and healthcare providers. We are committed to delivering sustainable energy to power diverse sectors, meeting both today’s and tomorrow’s energy challenges efficiently.

Fabrice Toussaint, MSEng

Fabrice Toussaint is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Voraggo Ltd, with the mission of delivering renewable energy solutions across the Balkans. He is also the Founder and Director of Jurtuna Energy, where he works closely with Technical Directors, Subsurface and New Ventures Managers to optimize reserves, production, and net present value (NPV) of assets, while also actively contributing to the geothermal sector as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Association Geothermal Energy. Fabrice has over 30 years of international experience in the oil and gas industry and has worked with E&P companies and consultancies such as Petroceltic, Xodus Group, and AGR, as well as with major multinationals like Total, independent operators like Perenco, service companies like Schlumberger, and start-ups such as European Gas Ltd. Technically, Fabrice possesses expertise in asset evaluation and production system modeling, including field simulation and waterflood optimization, Capacitance Resistance modeling for injector-to-producer connectivity, analysis of fractured systems and assessment of upside potential, as well as the application of innovative methods to evaluate porosity and system efficiency. He is recognized for his ability to rapidly and effectively execute complex simulations and optimizations for his clients. Fabrice is an engineer, graduated from Ecole Nationale Supérieure de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace in France, and is a passionate professional who turns innovative concepts into real-world projects.

Nikola Sechkaryov, MSEng

Nikola Sechkaryov is the Co-founder and Director of Operations at Voraggo. He is a petroleum geologist, engineer, and exploration manager with over 22 years of international industry experience across Europe, Africa, Russia, Asia, and South America, focused on frontier and underexplored mature basins, particularly in Europe and the Black Sea region. Co-Founder, Managing Director, and Principal Geologist at Terroleum UGC Limited, UGC Limited, as well as Founder and Chairman of Bulgarian Association Geothermal Energy. Nikola has an extensive international track record in managing operated and non-operated assets, business development, and the exploration and reappraisal of conventional, unconventional, and geothermal E&P projects. He has a proven success in project delivery, venture creation, and well operations. In addition to leading and growing the ventures, he has advised and consulted on many petroleum projects of some of the major international energy companies, including Shell, OMV, TotalEnergies, Gazprom, Petroceltic and others. In a technical sense, Nikola Sechkaryov has extensive international expertise that includes seismic interpretation, prospect generation, geomodelling, and petroleum and geothermal systems analysis, combined with well-log interpretation methodologies, field surveys and drilling operations Long-time university lecturer, Assistant Professor in hydrocarbon exploration geology and resource evaluation at the University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski”, Sofia. Former Principal Geologist, Exploration Manager, and General Exploration Manager at Overgas and RGC. Graduate of the University of Mining and Geology, Sofia, with postgraduate specialisation in Germany, Russia, and the USA.

Nikolay Hristov is the Co-founder and Director of Finance & Development at Voraggo, as well as Co-founder and General Manager of UGC, and Co-founder and Manager of Terroleum UGC Limited. He is an experienced reservoir engineer with over 21 years of international experience in the oil and gas industry, including project management, business development, exploration, and field evaluation across conventional, unconventional and geothermal E&P projects in Europe, Africa, Russia, and Asia. Nikolay possesses deep technical expertise in reservoir engineering, resource and reserves assessment, risk management, reappraisal and monitoring of underground gas storage, reservoir modeling, and analysis of reservoir behavior and control. As Director of Finance & Development at Voraggo and Vice-Chairman of the Bulgarian Association Geothermal Energy (BAGE), he actively contributes to the strategic management and growth of companies and projects in the energy and geothermal sectors. His career includes positions as project manager and geologist at Overgas and RGC, and he also serves as a lecturer in Exploration & Reservoir Petroleum Geology at the University of Mining and Geology “St. Ivan Rilski”, Sofia. Nikolay graduated from the University of Mining and Geology, Sofia, with additional postgraduate specialization in Russia and the USA. He combines his technical expertise with strong management skills, turning complex concepts into effective solutions for the industry.

Edward Blunt, MS

Co-founder & Director of Technology

Edward Blut is the Co-founder and Director of Technology at Voraggo, as well as the Co-founder, Managing Director, and Lead Geoscientist at Terroleum UGC Limited and Terroleum Limited, an international geoscience consultancy providing high-quality and cost-effective services to the energy and mining sectors. He is also the Vice-Chairman of the Bulgarian Association Geothermal Energy. Edward has over 30 years of international experience across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, parts of Asia, and the Americas, with a particular focus on Europe and African basins. He is an experienced manager of operated and non-operated assets, portfolios, and complex exploration, reappraisal, and business development projects. Technically, Edward is an expert and analytical geologist with competencies in structural geology, seismic interpretation, prospect mapping and geomodelling, petroleum systems analysis, and play-fairway evaluation, as well as in stratigraphy, structural balancing, and basin modelling. He also has strong skills in business development, resource and reserves assessment, and risk management, as well as in planning, budgeting, and executing complex cross-functional projects, partnership campaigns, license and joint-venture management, and government relations. His career began as a structural geologist and seismic interpreter at Hardy Oil and Gas in 1995. He joined Sterling Energy in 2001, playing a key role in the company’s growth from a start-up to an international E&P operator. In 2011, he became Director of Projects and Principal Geoscientist at an oil and gas consultancy. In 2015, he founded his own upstream consultancy, which merged in 2017 to form Terroleum UGC Limited. Edward holds a Bachelor’s degree from Kingston University, London, and Master's in structural geology at the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College, London.

Brendon Uys

Technical Advisor

Brendon Uys is a Technical Advisor to Voraggo and a qualified engineering technician, as well as the primary commercial heating design specialist for British Gas. He specializes in renewable energy and HVAC systems, with a focus on the design, optimization, and integration of heat pump and hydronic systems. Brendon is actively involved in the construction and optimization of closed-loop geothermal systems, applying techniques and practical solutions to improve drilling processes and the installation of these systems. He has extensive technical expertise in heat pump operation, circuit design, and system efficiency, combining hands-on engineering skills with analytical problem-solving. He collaborates closely with industry professionals and contributes to the development of energy-efficient, reliable, and innovative heating solutions. As a Technician Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), headquartered in London, United Kingdom, Brendon applies his expertise to ensure the highest standards in the design, implementation, and sustainable operation of modern heating and geothermal systems.
